The Simonit&Sirch Pruning School Pack includes: 

• Online Courses Spurred Cordon Vine Pruner and Spurred Cordon Vine Pruner Advanced Guyot;
• Pruning Practice: 2 days of pruning practice in the vineyard during the winter and an online class for the shoot thinning and suckering.

Pruning Practice

After having independently consulted the Vine Pruner and Vine Pruner Advanced online theoretical courses, during the in-vineyard practice sessions Simonit&Sirch tutors will guide you in the application of pruning techniques to safeguard the health, longevity and sustainability of your vines and your vineyard.

The Pruning Practice gives the chance to the students to apply what they watched on the Online Courses, Vine Pruner and Vine Pruner Advanced, and work, hands on the plant to understand and apply the Simonit&Sirch Pruning Method in the vineyards together with a Technician of the Simonit&Sirch International Team.

Winter Session

Spring Session

The Spring Session will be done through an Online Class, the duration will be 2 hours, this time can change according to the amount of Q&A during the class.

The link to the Spring Session will be emailed 10 days before the effective day of the Online Class.

How to participate

You can purchase the Pruning School Pack (online course + the practical session) or just the Practical Practice.
Enrolment in only the Pruning Practice is only possible for those already enrolled in the Vine Pruner + Vine Pruner Advanced online courses of the corresponding breeding form.

Info

For all pruners, there is no bad or good weather, but only good or bad equipment. So come equipped to work in all weather conditions.
Be prepared with appropriate clothing for the season: rainwear, rubber boots and a change of shoes. Don’t forget to bring functioning pruning shears, work gloves and goggles.

Lunch will be included in the enrollment fee and provided by local catering, the lunch order will be placed in the morning according to the menu provided by the local catering.
